2.5-Hour Happy Abstracts Painting Workshop

Workshop Description:

Everyone has an artist within them and a unique perspective to offer the world! Happy Abstracts is an explorative painting class with color-loving artist EttaVee, Jessi Raulet. Students will learn to create bold abstract art on canvas and are encouraged to explore abstract painting with a playful and open mind!

During this 2.5-hour workshop, you will not only learn the basics of painting, but i’ll teach you my techniques for achieving interesting compositions! You’ll also learn:

- How to hold your paint brush and paint with confidence

- The tools to help you get started

- Quick color theory, paint colors and mixing

- Guidance on achieving bold colors preventing “muddy” paint 

- Composition

- Guided painting instruction while creating an abstract piece of your very own!

By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a beautiful & bright abstract canvas to take home with you! 

This workshop includes all the materials needed to get started, including:

- Paint Brushes

- 1 small Canvas

- Acrylic Paint

- Color Guide

- An art print and some other goodies

- Email recap of all the tools we used

*No prior experience is required. This workshop is all about creative expression, letting loose and having fun!

You do not need to bring anything else to the workshop, just yourself! The registration cost is all-inclusive of materials needed for this experience! Light refreshments will be served along with tasty coffee drinks available for purchase from the River City coffee shop! We hope you have a great time!

About the Instructor:

Born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, Jessi began her love affair with color at the age of four and has been creating ever since. She moved to San Francisco where she worked as a art director in advertising for top Bay Area clients. In 2013, she moved to Paris for love where she started creating colorful fine art pieces and designs to brighten up her surroundings. Thus the vibrant world of EttaVee was born! Jessi is inspired by life in France, travel adventures, tropical settings, colorful fruit and pop culture. Since its launch in 2014, EttaVee has become a lifestyle brand that expresses optimism and joy through color. EttaVee’s cheerful designs have been featured on home décor, stationery, tech accessories, textiles and apparel.
