Painting with Purpose / inspiration
The theme of this session is the Harlem Renaissance! The Harlem Renaissance was an intellectual, social, and artistic explosion centered in Harlem in the Black community, spanning the 1920s into the 1930s. Think of the jazz greats Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Josephine Baker... the list goes on and on. I created this design just for this occasion as I feel it represents the opulence of the jazz scene during the Harlem Renaissance, as well as the sophistication Alpha Kappa Alpha women exhibit worldwide. During the session, we’ll learn more about AKA and the work these women are doing in the communities they serve!
