Items to grab when setting up your painting space:

Piece of paper and pen/ pencil
A scrap piece of a thicker piece of paper, card stock or cardboard (for practicing with the spatula)
Water to clean brushes
Cloth or paper towels to dry brushes & clean spatula

Painting Surface
Feel free to grab multiple surfaces for this exercise! We’ll have time to make more than one!
Below are suggestions of painting surfaces. You do not need all of the options below. Just one surface is perfect! You may also purchase your class materials from your art supplier of choice.
I will be using a 10” x 12” canvas.
Paint Brushes
Here’s a simple set that I came across on Amazon that has many sizes and at a great price.
You may also use any round brush you already have on hand. Most small details will be made with the paint pens.
Spatula
I love the spatulas by Princeton. They come in different colors and shapes. I’ll be using this yellow Wedge tool no.4.
Feel free to by a different brand if you so wish!
Acrylic Paint
The brands mentioned below are suggestions. Feel free to use whatever you already have on hand or can easily find at your local art/ craft store.
Color Shift Acrylic Paint
This “Flash Green” Color Shift paint by Folk Art is probably the closest paint to what i’ll be using (If you’re unable to get the LeFranc Bourgeois in your country). Any color will do, i’m personally going to be using green.
Acrylic Paint - Basic Paint
You may use any brand of acrylics of your choosing for this paint session. I’ll be using Liquitex Basic Acrylic. They’re cost effective and great for leaning. Feel free to select any specific colors that you want in your piece.
Colors
Titanium White
Turquoise
Cadmium Yellow Medium Hue
Magenta Quinacridone
Fluorescent Pink
Fluorescent Yellow
Optional - If you’re going for a certain color palette don’t hesitate to grab any additional colors that you may need.
Metallic Acrylic Paint
You may use any brand of metallic acrylics of your choice or that you may already have on hand! I’ll be using Treasure Gold by Folk Art/ color - copper. These paints are also available at Michaels.
Metallic Paint
For this project you’ll need some type of iridescent paint. Below are a few options. You do not need to purchase all of these, just one will do! The goal is for it to be shiny & shimmery. I’ll personally be using “Stil de Grain Iridescent” Flashe Paint by LeFranc Bourgeois”.
Acrylic Ink
Here’s another shimmery option in the form of an acrylic ink. It’s available in a few different colors.
Metallic Paint Pens
The brands mentioned below are suggestions. Feel free to use whatever you already have on hand or can easily find at your local art/ craft store.
